The Event
Invitations to the Ethiopian New Year celebration went out to your email a few days ago. Don’t miss this festive event! There will be traditional Ethiopian food and music, and a coffee ceremony. Children will participate in the Ethiopian New Year tradition of creating flower cards and selling them to party goers (proceeds to benefit the organizations described. Craft materials to be supplied at the party.)
The celebration is on September 13th, 2008 between 10 a.m. and 1 p.m. The location is the home of Ben and Laura King at 4812 S. Woodlawn Avenue, Chicago, IL 60615

To Donate
The Enkutatash celebration is being generously underwritten by the King Family. This is a fundraiser event for the ECAC new cultural center fund and for our own EAKC, to be used for member services to be provided. Our goal is to raise $5,000, to be evenly divided between the two organizations. Donations to attend are requested, but not required.
